I met a caravan, 2008

Unrealised project.
Instigated by Benjamin Heasman. I wrote to all museums who hold a vardo or gypsy caravan in their collection (Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery; Beamish,The North of England Open Air Museum; Museum of Transport, Glasgow; The Museum of English Rural Life, Reading; Milton Keynes Museum; Weald & Downland Open Air Museum, Chichester and York Castle Museum). I hoped Ben might stay the night in one of the caravans as my contribution to the project. All museums turned the proposal down.
